Frédéric has 30 years+ experience as a negotiator in the e-communications sector and the Internet industry, representing key stakeholders from Industry to Policymakers and Civil Society. Before serving as the Vice President, Europe, for the Internet Society, Frédéric was a Senior adviser to C-level Executives of major listed companies, for which he has designed overall advocacy and corporate reputation campaigns. Frédéric worked 10 years within the European Commission where he developed numerous policies and regulations in the e-communications sector. He has also served as a Member of the Executive Board of the European Association of Telecom Operators (ETNO) and as the advisor to the President of the International Labour Organisation (UN) in Geneva. Frédéric holds a LLD (Law Degree), from the Catholic University of Louvain (UCL) as well as a Masters in European law (LLM) from the State University of Ghent, in Belgium. He is also a post-graduate in “Strategic and Problem solving Therapy” from the Gregory Bateson Institute, representing the Mental Research Institute of Palo Alto (CA,USA) in Europe.
